Merry Christmas (and a Midnight Man review)!!

Christmas already - where has the year gone?!

I haven't posted that much to the blog this year - does anyone still read blogs? I kind of use it to achieve stuff like reviews etc so I know I've always got access to them if I need too.

Midnight Man: Gunspace came 6th in Pipedream Comics' best small press and indie comic of 2017 which both Mo and I were really chuffed with, thanks to everyone who voted for us.

Tony Esmond reviewed the book way back in October for Downthetubes, I should've posted this up ages ago!

I will again be at the True Believers Con at Cheltenham Racecourse at the start of February (one of my favourite shows, such a great family atmosphere, superbly ran by Stuart Mulrain and his team).

There is a charity anthology comic produced by Stuart to debut at the con and there's a single page brand new Midnight Man strip in there, alongside lots of other talented creators.

I've also done 5 pages for Mike Garley's latest (and last) Samurai Slasher book - Volume III The Final Chapter! My first go at colouring sequential pages myself (and I'm no colourist) I've got a copy of the book though and it does look amazing. Honoured to share a book alongside artists such as Gavin Mitchell, Rory Donald and Jim Lavery. Mike is such a talented writer too so it was a great project to be part of.

Unusre what 2018 will hold, got plenty of projects in various stages of development (or I may just take the year off) I'm honestly not sure yet. I need to rest up (and recover from a nasty sickness bug too!) and see how I feel after my break.

Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

See you in 2018.

Midnight Man: Gunspace makes Pipedream Comics' top 10 best of 2017 list!!!

Following the books successful launch at the recent Nottingham Comic Con (I will do a con report soon!) the new Midnight Man book has been picking up great feedback!

We had a good review thanks to the guys on the Awesome Comics Podcast, and also Tony Esmond gave it a great review on his blog!

But best of all, the book has been featured in the top 10 'best of 2017' list from the guys over at Pipedream Comics!!

There were so many amazing books listed from number 40 onwards, but to be featured in the top 10 alongside such great books & creators such as 'Porcelain', 'NPC Tea', 'Samurai Slasher' and 'The Trolltooth wars' is a massive honour.

There is a vote to decide the overall winner, which you can vote for us here (if you like)!
